Belgian Friendship Visit
On Monday until Thursday we will be pleased to be hosting a visit from ‘De Vilg’ (‘The Willow’) school in Bilzen Belgium. Six teachers will be bringing twenty eight children from their Year 6 class by coach and will be ‘camping’ in our school classrooms. For many years now, a lasting and valued friendship has grown between our schools. By visiting one another (usually on alternate years) the children have been able to enjoy the experiences that such a friendship brings by learning a little about the culture of each country: finding out about school life and seeing some of the famous sights of a town or city. The visits are also about building friendships, which in some cases have continued along after the visits have ended and the children have moved onto secondary school.
