Belgian Friendship Visit
On Monday until Thursday we will be pleased to be hosting a visit from ‘De Vilg’ (‘The Willow’) school in Bilzen Belgium. Six teachers will be bringing twenty eight children from their Year 6 class by coach and will be ‘camping’ in our school classrooms. For many years now, a lasting and valued friendship has grown between our schools. By visiting one another (usually on alternate years) the children have been able to enjoy the experiences that such a friendship brings by learning a little about the culture of each country: finding out about school life and seeing some of the famous sights of a town or city. The visits are also about building friendships, which in some cases have continued along after the visits have ended and the children have moved onto secondary school. In the short time they are with us next week, our oldest children will be joining in with our visitors learning and playing together on the educational and fun activities that have been planned
